This is an annual Kiwanis Division 34 project in support of the American Diabetes Association (ADA). Tour de Cure is a bicycle tour involving about 2000 riders that raises over $1m for the ADA. Jim Stinger is the Division Leader for all Kiwanis tasks and Marty Deggeller leads the operation of the rest stops. Tom Sanders leads the route signage tasks. KCPA mounts all route signage on the Saturday before the event and supports sign recovery and inventory on Sunday - the day of the event. We need 12 volunteers on Saturday to work with our 6 Route Captains. Usually the Captain will drive the vehicle around the route and the others will put up the signs. On Sunday (event day) two volunteers are needed early in the morning to check those signs that have gone missing in the past and two or three volunteers are needed in the late afternoon to take inventory of recovered signs and possibly attempt to recover any missing signs.
Please sign up for this traditional project, It great fun and has a big impact. You can use eamil to me, sign up on line, or sign up at lunch.
Looking forward to seeing you out there!
Marty, Tom, Jim and Karen
